PI piezo actuators and PiezoWalk® stepping motors provide very high forces and require little to no power in quasistatic applications. They can also work in a vacuum and at very low temperatures—conditions found in space applications such as payload clamping, alignment and deployment.
PI hexapods have been used in microwave antenna alignment applications.
