PI HQ is based near Karlsruhe in the SW corner of Germany. This is the largest of a number of manufacturing sites in Germany and is the home of PI's R&D, Metrology, Sales and Administration activity. PI Ceramic , where pzt based materials are manufactured and formed into a range of actuators and components, is based in Lederhose in the East of Germany and has been part of the PI group for over 14 years.
PI now have more than 30 years of experience in the design, development and manufacturing of precision positioning systems. Over this period we have successfully worked with many key customers on unique and challenging positioning applications. Even though we have an extensive range of standard products to chose from we are always willing to customise parts where appropriate.

PI has subsidiary companies around the World. More than 450 people are now employed within the organisation.
 PI (Physik Instrumente) Ltd , based in Cranfield, Bedfordshire is PI’s subsidiary office supporting customers in the UK and Ireland. Our experienced team of Engineers is available to provide applications support, equipment demonstrations, price information and rapid feedback to technical issues, through our office or via on site visits.
We directly communicate every day with our Engineering colleagues at PI and PI Ceramic. Where applications require a visit to PI in Karlsruhe or PI Ceramic in Lederhose arrangements can be made.
